Admont Abbey
The monastery complex of Admont Abbey at the entrance to the Gesäuse National Park impresses with its gardens, historic buildings and modern architecture. The collegiate church, the largest monastery library in the world and a variety of museums offer unique experiences. The museum, opened in 2003, brings together exhibits from the Middle Ages to the present day. Manuscripts, early prints, a nature and art museum and a multimedia presentation of the abbey are all on display. The exhibition programme changes every year.
Schloss Trautenfels
Trautenfels Castle towers majestically over the village of Stainach-Pürgg. As a cultural centre, it houses the Museum Joanneum with fascinating exhibitions on regional history, nature and art. Steiner1888 has been processing the finest wool into high-quality loden fabrics for over 130 years. Distillery & mountain pine distillery Mandlberggut
Whisky, gin and schnapps distillery, mountain pine and Swiss stone pine distillery, guided tours with tasting, mountain café, farm shop & online shop. You will find the Mandlberggut at 980 metres above sea level, with a view of the Dachstein.

Eisriesenwelt Werfen
The Eisriesenwelt Werfen, the largest ice cave in the world, is home to fascinating ice sculptures and is one of Salzburg's top sights! The cave system stretches over 42 kilometres, the first part of which is accessible to visitors. The imposing ice formations stretch for around one kilometre. Hohenwerfen Fortress
The medieval Hohenwerfen hilltop castle is enthroned in Werfen. One of its main attractions is the imposing "Burgahnl", a bell weighing an impressive 4,412 kilograms, which can be admired in the bell tower. There is also a weapons room, a castle dungeon and a falconry museum with captivating flight demonstrations and much more.
