Discover the region on numerous winter hiking trails. If you've ever trudged through knee-deep snow, you'll know that winter hiking can be very strenuous. So it's lucky that we keep 300 kilometres of hiking trails open in winter so that you can stroll effortlessly through the snowy landscape - accompanied by a magnificent mountain panorama. Some of the highlights are the 4-season trail on the Hochwurzen, the Kulmbergrunde in the Ramsau or the path through the Talbachklamm, which is illuminated in the evening.
Apart from skiing, tobogganing is probably the most popular sport in the region. No wonder, because the many runs invite you to have fun sledging at any time of day or night. If you like tobogganing during the day, you'll love night tobogganing. Especially on the toboggan run on the Hochwurzen, which is one of the longest toboggan runs in the Alps with a length of seven kilometres.
