Mountain bike Region Schladming-Dachstein

Our family-run, four-star hotel is located in beautiful Styria. To be precise, in the idyllic small village of Haus in Ennstal. Because our hotel lies in the valley, we are a perfect base for all of your biking endeavors in the mountains and valleys, and throughout the broader Schladming-Dachstein region. Look forward to a wide range of elevations (25,000 vertical meters in total) and 930 kilometers of clearly signposted routes and tours in Ennstal alone. Meanwhile, at traditional mountain huts along the tour routes, you will be able to enjoy a well-earned rest stop and sample a delicious selection of local specialties.

All of the hiking and biking routes in our region are also available in the form of an interactive 3D map. In addition to high-resolution, three-dimensional images including the minutest details, the digital map also provides full information about all tours, GPS data, elevation profiles and difficulty levels, alternate routes as well as the names of mountains and huts nearby.

Downhill Courses on the Planai

We are also a popular hotspot for downhillers. In fact, mountain bikers rave about the downhill courses on the Planai. The start is located at 1830 meters above sea level and can be reached using the Planai gondola. Once there, it's your opportunity to return to the valley along a variety of trails, including a 3.5 km long, near-natural downhill course.

Reiteralm Trails

Nonstop all-terrain excitement – 15 kilometers of trail-riding enjoyment
15 kilometers of singletracks have been built. Two of them are rated "blue" (easy) and two of them "red" (intermediate). In addition, two old hiking paths have now been redesignated as "shared trails". The elevation change is 700 vertical meters. Insiders claim that the Gassl Trail, which starts on the Gasselhöhe, is an absolute biking highlight of the Reiteralm. So that bikers are able to get the most out of this exciting opportunity, the Preunegg Jet lift runs five days a week. Single-ride, half- and full-day tickets are available for passengers wishing to travel with their bikes. And holders of the Schladming-Dachstein Sommercard also receive a rebate. Bikecenter Reiteralm, located at the valley station of the Preunegg Jet, offers a wide selection of rental equipment as well as guided biking adventures.
